The Tajika Haruo Ironworks company, based in Ono City northeast of Kobe, has been making high quality handmade scissors for over four generations since its establishment in the Showa period. Each pair of scissors is made entirely by hand in an intricate process. The thick, hand-ground blades cut efficiently and the scissors are designed to fit comfortably in the hand and provide a firm grip while working.
