Over time, the brass undergoes a colour change due to natural oxidation processes; within five years, a charming light brown patina develops, followed by rust tones. The original shine can be maintained by using a polishing cloth.

Each bottle opener is supplied in a cardboard box.

Futagami was founded in 1897 and historically designed Buddhist statues and altarpieces cast from solid brass.
