STORY
Mashu Furoshiki is produced by Baba-sen Factory, an old textile printing factory in Kyoto that has been carrying on the tradition of furoshiki since 1913. Natural dyes, high quality cotton fabric and hand screen printing give the textiles their beauty and excellent quality.
The ancient art of furoshiki wrapping dates back to the Nara period, but is still very much alive in Japan today. It also has a place in modern western style. The ties in furoshiki represent the bonds between people and using furoshiki to wrap things is a way to present our feelings, making furoshiki a beautiful way to communicate.
