High quality copper grater by Ooya Seisakusho. The teeth of this tinned copper grater are hand-chiselled and extremely sharp, perfect for grating fibrous roots such as ginger, wasabi, daikon, ginger or garlic etc. Each individual "tooth" of this tinned grater made of solid copper is punched out and pointed upwards according to traditional handicraft techniques. Unlike conventional graters, here the vegetables are not crushed, but smoothly and finely grated, keeping the fibre and juice together and creating a pleasantly soft texture. Simply peel and grate in circular motions, a reliable kitchen helper.

Story
The Oya Seisakusho manufactory was founded in Tokyo in 1949 and specialises in the production of oroshigane (Japanese copper graters). Oroshigane is an indispensable tool in Japanese cuisine.
