Beschreibung

Traditional pewter sake jug. The jug consists of a pewter plate that is worked with a hammer. This technique is called tatakidashi.
A special chiseling process is done with a chisel. Patterns are printed one by one on the object. These patterns are not only for design, but also to hide any scratches on the surface. The most skilled and experienced craftsmen use the traditional technique of hammering a pattern onto the metal to enlarge the pewter.
It is said that pewter makes a medium sake better. Its antibacterial and ionic properties make it especially suitable for sake.
You can use it as a sake jug for one or two people as well as a water jug.

.

This handmade product is unique and may have slight differences in colour, pattern, shape and size. The shine of the material and the functionality of the objects are remarkable. Every use and every mark gives them an even higher degree of beauty.
