Organic Beech Toothbrush

Environmentally friendly toothbrush with bio-based synthetic bristles made from castor oil and wooden handle made from FSC-certified Swiss beech wood and therefore an excellent alternative to conventional plastic handles and helps to stem the tide of plastic in the household and therefore in the waste.

You can simply dispose of your old beech toothbrush on the compost heap - the handle will have rotted away after about one and a half years. The bristles are environmentally friendly, biodegradable and therefore harmless to humans and nature. The bristles are made on the basis of castor oil. Biodegradable after removal of the head/bristles.

Today Iris Hantverk consists of 17 employees. The main business is the brush binding factory in Sandsborgsvägen, Enskede. Here six visually impaired craftsmen from different cultures make brushes in the old Swedish tradition. Since August 2012, the company has been run by Richard Sparrenhök and Sara Edhäll. They care a lot about the craftsmen and the survival of brush-making. They believe that many like them appreciate the feel and quality of a hand-drawn brush made from natural materials.

Their vision is to revive the traditional profession of brush binding. By producing functional products with good design, combined with the quality of natural materials and the solid technique of the craftsmen.
