Beschreibung
Iron cookware has long been prized for its heat retention and ability to cook evenly over the entire surface of the pan. Here is a range of iron pans that are lightweight, oxidation resistant, easy to clean and suitable for all heat sources - induction, electric, ceramic and gas.
These cold-pressed iron pans are made mainly by hand in FD STYLE's artisan workshop in Niigata, Japan. A special coating called OXYNIT increases hardness as well as rust and scratch resistance.
The patented process involves nitriding the iron surface and coating it with oxide, which results in a characteristic uneven colouring - this in no way affects quality or performance, but is a unique effect of this innovative and expert treatment. The laminated bamboo handle is ergonomically shaped and fits comfortably in the hand.
The high-quality compact iron frying pans have a minimalist shape that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also robust and durable.
A perfect gift for design lovers.
First use
Heat the pan until it is very hot. Put in a spoonful of vegetable oil and coat the surface of the pan evenly. Pour away any excess oil.
Let the pan cool on a damp cloth, but be careful not to burn yourself, and wipe it with paper towels while it is still warm.
Wash with warm water, a mild detergent and a tawashi (palm fibre brush) and dry thoroughly immediately before storing.
Some pots may have slight scratches or stains that occurred during the production process, but these are not defects.
