The beautifully shaped table candles in a set of 2 are made from natural and sustainable materials. The handmade candles are made from rice bran wax, which forms a harder body, burns longer and produces less smoke, perfect for atmospheric evenings at a long table. The wax burns fragrance-neutrally with minimal smoke and a large, stable flame.

If a burnt wick gets long, it can be removed with tweezers or a Candle Snuffer to prevent the candle from burning down too quickly.

Daiyo, with its hundred-year history, uses 100% local and natural plant wax, carefully handcrafted by artisans. By using a sustainable resource, the Japanese candles for home use do not produce smoke nor does the melted wax flow out of the candle. The candles are also virtually odourless. Eco-friendliness is the greatest feature of the Japanese candles by Daiyo.

The candles are delivered in a beautiful packaging. The burning time is approx. 9 hours each.

The wax surface of the candle should liquefy completely once during the first use to ensure an even burn. The wick should be exactly in the middle, if necessary readjust it with a candle snuffer while burning. Before each use, the wick should be shortened to about 5 mm.

The Daiyo family business was founded in 1914 in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Now in their fourth generation, they make authentic Japanese candles that are known nationwide for their quality and beauty. All Daiyo candles are intricately handcrafted by master artisans using traditional methods and made exclusively from vegetable waxes. It is said that there are only 10 master craftsmen left in Japan who have mastered this type of traditional candle making.
